LOST GARDENS > Partners of the Lost Gardens of Khajuraho |
Intach - giving India's past a future
A number of companies are doing their part to bring the Lost Gardens of Khajuraho back to life by making a contribution towards the launch of the project: Wirtz International is sponsoring the gardens. Cypres and Ramdesign are together handling the communications for the project.
The gardens are under the patronage of Wirtz International nv.
Wirtz International nv, the internationally renowned garden architecture firm, is sponsoring the Gardens of Khajuraho. We are proud of this support. Jacques Wirtz and his sons, Martin and Peter, are big names in the world of international garden architecture. Jacques Wirtz is a highly skilled designer; a real professional with an eye for detail. He has created beautiful gardens the world over.
By agreeing to sponsor the Gardens of Khajuraho, Wirtz International has set an example by highlighting the importance and the intrinsic qualities of these gardens. In the words of Peter Wirtz:
"The importance of these historical gardens far exceeds their local dimension. They are important for the local population, for the history of India and for the history of horticulture. It would indeed be a pity, even a shame, if these gardens were lost forever. It is wonderful that Intach has taken these gardens into its care. Now that Intach Belgium has taken up the cause, it can really be said that Belgians have a thing about gardens!"
